Delete your account & data

You can delete your Moyana account and personal data at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.

Delete from within the app

1. Open Moyana and go to the Profile tab.
2. Open Privacy & security (or Settings).
3. Select Delete account.
4. Confirm. Your profile is removed from discovery immediately.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@moyanaapp.comfrom the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing the request.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymise:

• your profile, photos, prompts, and voice introduction;
• your verification selfie;
• your matches and messages;
• your preferences and approximate location data;
• your device and push notification tokens.

What we may keep, and for how long

We may retain a limited set of records where we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect the safety of our members, for example evidence related to reports, fraud, or abuse. Such records are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and are then deleted. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

Timing

Your profile disappears from Moyana right away. Full deletion across our systems and backups completes within 30 days.
